Position Overview:
The Expecting and Empowered (E + E) team is growing and we are looking for a Social Media Coordinator.
At Expecting and Empowered, we have the expertise in women's health and we’re looking for someone to bring our knowledge to life on social media in a fun and engaging manner that ultimately increases brand visibility, engages with a larger audience, and helps to positively impact even more women.
As a woman owned small business, we’re on a mission to empower moms to thrive both physically and mentally throughout their pregnancy and postpartum journeys through our online platforms and inside our Expecting and Empowered fitness app.
This person will be responsible for helping to implement a comprehensive social media strategy and calendar that converts followers into customers, drives engagement, and builds our community.
To thrive in this role, you must have a passion for all things social media: posting, curating creative ideas, and keeping up with social trends. You also should have a positive outlook and attitude about social media and its ability to help people. It’s important to us to find someone who loves learning, enjoys creating fresh content, isn’t afraid to bring forth new ideas, and can use social analytics to help inform strategy and decisions.
This role is not for you if you want to simply check off boxes each day and stay inside a box. It’s also not for you if you aren’t well versed in social media with no prior experience.
Offer Details:
This is a full-time, hybrid role located within driving distance at least twice per week to Oconomowoc, WI. Starting salary is $50,000 with retirement benefits and paid vacation time.
Responsibilities Include:
Social Media Management →
Manage and monitor all social media channels for E + E including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Pinterest.
Assist with the management of content calendars, schedule posts and coordinate with team members to ensure timely delivery of content.
Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media efforts with overall marketing goals and campaigns.
Content Creation→
Film and edit all social media creative content and deliverables.
Create engaging and compelling content for social media posts, including reels, graphics, carousel posts, stories and more.
Ability to produce creative graphics and visually appealing content.
Work closely with co-founders to bring forth new ideas and create fresh and engaging content.
Write captivating copy for social media posts, blog posts, website content, newsletters, and marketing materials, ensuring consistency in tone and messaging.
Analyzing Metrics/Trends →
Analyze performance metrics and generate reports to track the effectiveness of content and social media efforts, using insights to refine strategies and improve results.
Monitor trends and insights in social media and content marketing, staying updated on industry best practices and emerging platforms to continuously optimize strategies.
Digital Marketing →
Assist with website management including publishing blog posts and assisting with website updates.
Provide assistance in all digital marketing efforts as assigned by the founders or Integrator.
Requirements:
We’re looking for a qualified individual who aligns with the following:
1-2 years of social media experience, bonus if you have experience working for an engaged and established social media account.
A keen aesthetic eye with graphic design and the ability to create cohesion across all platforms- utilizing our branding guidelines.
Is reflective, adaptive, and continuously excited about social media, even with its ever changing nature.
Must feel comfortable both receiving and giving feedback regularly. We genuinely want to hear your opinions!
Excellent written skills and command of the English language - being witty and funny are a huge bonus!
Must be comfortable around and excited to help us educate about women’s health topics (including birth, postpartum, sex, female anatomy, incontinence, etc).
Is highly proactive, takes initiative, and showcases follow-through on assigned tasks.
Has experience and can jump right into video editing both in and out of the platforms.
Loves being part of a team and working collaboratively.
Is available to work consistent daytime hours and some weekends.

Preferred Tech Knowledge:
Proficient across social media channels including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Pinterest. Is proficient in Canva as well as other video editing software such as Capcut, InShot, Adobe, Instagram Reels or something similar. Other technologies include Manychat, Flodesk, Squarespace, and Asana.
