A Matcha Recipe I’ve been loving

I’ve been really loving matcha in the mornings lately. It gives me that gentle caffeine boost without the crash, plus so many great health benefits that just make me feel good starting the day, especially as a busy mom of 3 trying to balance a morning workout, feeding the kids breakfast, and then running to work (last week I left my matcha I just made on the counter as I ran out the door and throught about it al day…). It feels like a small ritual that helps me slow down for a minute before the day gets going.

Here’s a flavor combo I’ve been obsessed with recently that feels creamy, refreshing, and just a little bit special! If you try it, let me know how you like it (or any adjustments you’d make!)

Coconut Cloud Matcha

light, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet

Matcha base
  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • 2 oz warm water
  • 1–2 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
Coconut layer
  • 1 cup coconut milk (carton or light canned coconut milk)
  • Ice
Coconut cloud topping
  • 2 tbsp coconut cream (thick part from canned coconut milk)
  • 1 tsp honey or vanilla (optional)
  • Splash of milk (if needed to loosen)
1. Whisk the matcha
Whisk matcha + warm water until smooth and frothy. Add sweetener if using. Set aside.
2. Build your base
Fill a glass with ice and pour in coconut milk.
3. Add matcha layer
Slowly pour matcha over the coconut milk for that layered look.
4. Make the cloud
Whisk coconut cream until fluffy and light. Add a splash of milk if needed.
5. Finish & enjoy
Spoon the coconut cloud on top and gently swirl.
